As a lifelong yo-yo dieter, I know first-hand the struggles of constantly battling with your weight and feeling shame and guilt for not being able to control your eating habits. It can be frustrating to try every diet and weight loss program out there, only to end up back where you started.
But don't blame yourself –we have been taught to believe that restrictive diets are the only way to lose weight, leading to rebound weight gain and a negative relationship with food and your body.
The good news is that there's a better way. You can break free from the yo-yo diet trap and learn to nourish your body without feeling deprived or restricted. And the best part? It doesn't have to be years of trial and error like I went through.
It took me 10 years to finally gather all the missing pieces and put them together. It's been a long, often emotional journey filled with ups and downs. But, I can honestly say that it's all been worth it.
Along the way, I've met so many amazing mentors and tried countless techniques. Some worked for me, and others didn't. But, through it all, I learned so much about myself and what I truly needed to thrive. And, that's how I discovered my unique formula.
It's been an incredible transformation for me, and I'm so excited to share my knowledge and experiences with others who are struggling with the same issues. I know what it feels like to be stuck in that vicious cycle of weight loss and weight gain, and it can be such a painful and emotional place to be. But, with my method, you can finally break free from that cycle and achieve the food freedom and weight loss goals you've been dreaming of.
So, if you're feeling frustrated, hopeless, or overwhelmed, know that there's hope. You don't have to continue struggling on your own.
I know it may sound too good to be true, but trust me, I understand where you're coming from. Twenty years ago, I never would have believed that I could break free from the food prison I was in. The self-punishment and body hate were overwhelming, and I didn't think there was a way out.
But, over the years, I've developed techniques that have completely transformed my relationship with food and my body. And the best part? Some of these techniques can remove cravings in just one session. It may sound unbelievable, but I've seen it happen with my own clients and myself over and over again! The look on my clients' faces when their cravings disappear is truly Priceless!
Hi, my name is Elleria, (known as Ellie), I’m a body confidence coach. And for 20 years, diet after diet failed me, my binges got worse and bulimia was the result. I ended up feeling lost, alone, ashamed and out of control! It got so bad I found myself deeper into my depression and I couldn't see a way out!
I knew how to lose weight, but I couldn’t stand the hunger! The pull to all the forbidden foods was too tempting and too strong. The devil in me always won. Hello, guilt and shame!
More shame was to come – my "lack" of willpower and the fact that I had failed...... again…….meant it is time for another diet! The only thing I could think of was…. "Fuck it! Since it’s already ruined I’ll just eat everything I can get my hands on!" And the binge zombie took over!
Constantly Comparing
Myself to others, Thinking;
WHY CANT I LOOK LIKE HER?
I was 14 years old when my issues with food and my weight started….. I remember looking in a fashion magazine, my eyes stopping on a picture of a model, thinking WHY CANT I LOOK LIKE HER? Skinny, pretty, carefree, flawless, and gorgeous.
Comparing myself to perfectly photo-shopped images. Always comparing myself to my skinnier and prettier friends. Never feeling as pretty or skinny as they were.
My self-esteem was broken. I had been bullied since I was 7 because I was shy, tiny and easy to pick on.
At the age of 3, I was in an accident and I got burned over 15% of my body, scarred for life, always feeling different, damaged and broken!
So I figured, if I look skinny, I can hide my damaged body. I learned to skip meals, or not eat at all. And when I ate too much, I knew how to get rid of it. I was constantly hungry, and obsessing about food!!! Always counting calories and exercising like I was preparing for the Olympics.
The fear and shame of losing control and gaining weight was always present!
I so desperately wanted to be skinny, to be liked and to feel pretty. And I kept failing over and over again! Losing weight, and gaining weight!
I was hungry, tired, and alone with my shit. I hated my body!!! Why did I have to have this worthless, damaged, ugly, fat body!?! I was trying so hard, trying to find something that would work. A few of the things I tried and failed:
It pissed me of thinking about how our society makes us feel, how it keeps us trapped in a war with our bodies and with the beauty ideals that are all around us.
It pissed me off that I was stuck in that quick-fix mentality way too long, and I hate it with passion!!! I see how much the weight loss companies contribute to the suffering that we already have. They keep us feeling like failures. The truth is diets are not designed to be sustainable for the long run. Diets keep our bodies and minds in a stressed-out state, activating our survival responses. Hello more failure!
It pissed me off thinking about all the money, and time I wasted, and all the hopes and dreams dashed on the quick-fix weight loss industry.
Nothing made sense. How could others do what I seemed to have zero success in doing? Staying skinny!
I had no idea what to do, who to go to, or how to stop my food issues. I felt so much shame for not being able to control my food issues and stay skinny.
Do you know what the sad part is? My story is not unique at all. There are millions of women, men, girls, and boys struggling just like you and me. I choose to share my story so you know that you are NOT ALONE, and so you know that it does NOT have to be this way.
My permanent and healthy weight loss wasn’t about calories in and calories out. That only treated the symptoms, not the root causes to why I was eating the way I was.
On my healing journey, I cleared the reasons:
The journey towards breaking free from the yo-yo diet trap felt like a bumpy, lonely, overwhelming, and a never-ending road. There were times when I thought I would never be able to figure it out, but I was determined to keep going.
I was searching for something that I didn't even realize I needed or what I was searching for.
Until I came across a few different mentors along the way. Each of my mentors all had valuable pieces of the puzzle that contributed to my healing. They gave me the guidance, understanding, AHAs, and knowledge that I didn't have. They each brought their own unique perspective and expertise to the table, which opened my eyes to different ways of looking at my situation.
Thanks to these different mentors, I learned about the factors that had been contributing to my cycle of deprivation and overeating, including emotional triggers, negative self-talk, and unrealistic expectations. With their guidance, I was able to shift my mindset towards self-compassion, mindfulness, and setting realistic goals. Through all the pieces I collected, and all the different tools I came across along the way, I learned to heal my heart and cultivate a love for my body that I never thought was possible. Thanks to All the Knowledge and Experiences during my time stuck in the trap and my time trying to get out of the trap. I was able to develop my unique approach and formula to break free from the yo-yo diet trap once and for all!
And it was working. I was doing it. And not only did I lose weight and keep it off, I also felt grateful for and loving toward the body I was in. The same body I once had hated!
I noticed some major shifts taking place:

EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique (also called Tapping) is a technique that combines elements of traditional therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acupuncture. EFT involves tapping on specific acupressure points on the body while focusing on a particular issue or problem. It's a method of releasing negative emotions, beliefs, and traumas from the body and mind, and replacing them with empowering ones.
The theory behind EFT is that negative emotions and beliefs cause energy blockages in the body, which can lead to physical and emotional problems. By tapping on these acupressure points, we can release these blockages and restore the body's natural energy flow. EFT can be used to address a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, phobias, addictions, trauma, physical pain and weightloss.
Oh yes!
EFT has been used to address weight loss, emotional eating, and cravings. Here are some more specific research, statistics, and results:
Weight Loss: A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2013 found that EFT was effective in reducing body weight, BMI, food cravings, and anxiety in overweight and obese adults. The study included 96 adults, who were randomly assigned to either an EFT group or a control group. The EFT group received eight 60-minute EFT sessions, while the control group received no treatment. The EFT group showed a significant reduction in body weight, BMI, food cravings, and anxiety, compared to the control group.
Emotional Eating: A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 2016 found that EFT was effective in reducing emotional eating in overweight and obese women. The study included 83 women, who were randomly assigned to either an EFT group or a control group. The EFT group received four 90-minute EFT sessions, while the control group received a weight management intervention. The EFT group showed a significant reduction in emotional eating, compared to the control group.
Cravings: A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2012 found that EFT was effective in reducing food cravings in a sample of 96 adults. The study included an EFT group and a control group, with the EFT group receiving eight 60-minute EFT sessions and the control group receiving no treatment. The EFT group showed a significant reduction in food cravings, compared to the control group.
Meta-analysis: A meta-analysis of 14 studies published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine in 2017 found that EFT was effective in reducing food cravings and body weight. The studies included in the meta-analysis focused on various issues related to weight loss, including food cravings, emotional eating, and body weight. The meta-analysis found that EFT was associated with significant reductions in food cravings and body weight.
